Life In community!

None of us have ever lived through a crisis like this... so many things have changed so quickly. But one thing that hasn't changed - WE WERE MADE FOR LIFE IN COMMUNITY. In times like this we have to get creative and innovate... so we are taking all of our Growth Groups virtually online. Each group will be using the Zoom platform to gather where they can do a Bible study LIVE and be able to talk, ask questions, pray together and be in community. Find a group to join and click on the image to sign up!

    Topic: The Struggle is Real

Life is never as easy as we want it to be. Car tires blow out. Work piles up. Kids throw tantrums. It’s a struggle. But should it be? We often believe that when we follow Jesus, life should get easier. And when it doesn’t we tell ourselves we’re failing or stuck or abandoned by God. But it’s simply not true.

This series explores why life’s a struggle and what to do about it. With God as the hero of the story, a hard day has new meaning. We can find joy in him instead of feeling stuck. And our lives can be defined by redemption instead of struggle.

How to find relationships that are good for you and avoid those that aren't.
Countless individuals have invested themselves into people who've shipwrecked their lives in return. They've been abandoned or taken advantage of, and left with little to show for what they've given. They've lost the sense of security and personal value in the process. If you're one who has chosen the wrong people to get involved with or makes the same mistakes about relationships over and over again, then the Safe People book offers you a remedy.

    Topic: Raising Kingdom Kids

Most of us believe passionately in contributing to our children's physical, social, and intellectual development. We make sure they have clothes and shelter. We try to see that they eat right, get enough sleep, and monitor their friendships. We also do everything possible to make sure they succeed at school. This study calls and instructs parents to raise God-following children who are also spiritually strong and prepared to take on the assignments God has for their lives.

    Topic: Dream Big

What do you want to be when you grow up? It was an easy question to answer when they were little, but life gets complicated for teen girls. When they get stuck in drama, discontentment, sadness, and shame, how can they even begin to look ahead to the future?

Dreaming big isn't about the perfect job or a glamorous life “some day.” Dreaming big starts now. When girls are secure in who Christ made them to be and believe in what God can do in and through them, they will grow in confidence, create community, and accomplish great things.

    Group Type: Married

    Topic: You and Me Forever

This seven session Bible study series, based on the book You and Me Forever from best-selling author Francis Chan and Lisa Chan, will challenge you to view your marriage like never before. These seven inspiring videos will help you dive deeper into the content of the book as you explore themes like:

    • It's until death do us part. Then comes eternal rewards or regrets depending on how we spent our lives.
    • While we cannot allow lesser things to destroy our marriages, we also cannot allow marriage to distract us from greater things.
    • A jealous God asks us to pursue Him first and most. Then life makes sense, and everything falls into its proper place.
    • Love, laughter, and intimacy were all created to be enjoyed. So there is a way to love family deeply without ignoring heaven.
    • It all comes down to our focus.
    • Jesus was right. We have it all backwards. The way to have a great marriage is by not focusing on marriage.

    Group Type: THRIVE members

    Topic: Teach Us To Want

We all want things: certain relationships, just the right job, affirmation from others, a life full of passion and purpose. Contemporary culture says to go after desire, pursue your “I want” list ruthlessly. Christianity seems to send a different message: Wanting is sinful and selfish. Faith is about obedience and sacrifice.

This series will show biblically how it's not only OK to name and voice our desires—it's actually holy to. When we freely let God know our desires and allow them to be informed by Scripture and re-formed by our spiritual practices, we'll discover a God more loving and generous than we can ever imagine.

    Topic: Ephesians

Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world.

    Topic: BOLD

Teen guys want to be courageous and brave. In an era of superhero movies, they strive to be characterized by fearlessness, confidence, and power, like Captain America or Iron Man. But boldness is empty bravado when not used in the way God intended.

This series uses Scripture to teach teen guys that their desires to be bold are not without a purpose. They were created to play a part in God’s redemptive work in the world and live courageously for the cause of God’s Kingdom. God has empowered guys to live a life of boldness—in their faith, with their words, to share the truth, and through prayer. Because our God is so powerful, young men who follow Christ can—and must—live boldly in the world.
