Crossover Coronavirus Update #3 – Tuesday, March 17, 2020; 11:30am EST
Hello Crossover Family –
Every day we are facing new realities and therefore new decisions.
As was shared on Sunday, we are committed to supporting you spiritually and making the best decisions that we can make. We want to provide you with a brief, thorough update of how Crossover will adjust for the near future.
Our Sunday Worship Gatherings
For at least the next 3 weeks we will gather ONLINE during our normal Worship Service times – 10:00am and 11:45am EST.
Our Sermon Series are planned and we have prayed through what to still share. We are committed to presenting fresh and relevant material that will inspire, encourage, challenge, and inform you of what we believe God is saying during this time. We’ll have worship and word and are working to find additional ways to engage during and after the message.
We will stream on all platforms as we do each week, including Facebook, Youtube, Vimeo and on our website and app.
Our Wednesday Night Growth Night
For the next 3 weeks we will gather LIVE ONLINE on Wednesdays at 7:00pm EST. We will utilize Facebook Live only for our LIVE Wednesday Night Growth Night.
This Wednesday (March 18, 2020), we will begin a new series based on the book, Relational Intelligence.
You will be able to watch at www.Facebook.com/Crossover813
Handouts for each week will be available on our website.
Kids & Youth
The Next Generation is critically important. We have made that clear over and over again. We are THANKFUL for our Kids Ministry Teams and The Movement activators.
While we are working to ensure that our Adults are served and connected, we are doing equally the same for our Kids and Youth. At Crossover, Kids Ministry is for newborn through 5th Grade and Youth Ministry is grades 6-12.
Our Kids Ministry will be developing content for their age group that will be available on Crossover’s YouTube page, as well as, the Kids Ministry Facebook page. You can connect/follow them at www.Facebook.com/KidzMin813
Our Youth Ministry will also be developing content for their age group that will be available on Crossover’s YouTube page, as well as, the Youth Ministry’s, *The Movement,* Instagram account. You can connect/follow them at www.Instagram.com/movement813 and www.facebook.com/movement813
Their content will placed on our YouTube Page – www.YouTube.com/Crossover813.
All of our scheduled events, activities, and meetings have been postponed for the next 6 weeks. With emphasis to Love Our City, Easter Sunday, Marriage Retreat, Chosen Women’s Retreat, Fine Arts Conference (Youth Ministry), and Growth Track One Day.
Some of these events will be rescheduled and others may not. We will keep you informed in the upcoming days on these updates.
As you know, we are a relational church. We value relationship and we value being connected.
To that end, we are meeting with our Growth Group Leaders and we will working to roll out an updated and customized strategy to make sure that every member of our church is connected to a Growth Group. These Growth Groups will meet virtually, help to connect with you weekly, and ensure that every single individual and family is connected and not alone.
Please email us Prayer Needs at Prayer@CrossoverChurch.org OR connect to the Prayer Page on our Crossover App
If you have any Member Care Needs (i.e. – Hospitalizations, Births, Deaths, Life Transitions, etc.), please email us at ReachingOutCare@CrossoverChurch.org
If you haven’t downloaded the Crossover App, you can do so here: http://crossoverchurch.org/mobile-app
We are committed to serving during this season. We want to make sure that our church family is covered and ensure that our community is served. To that end, we are gathering details and connecting with area partners on how best to make sure that we to offer sustainable and realistic outreach amid the shutdowns, voluntary quarantines, and current adjustments that we are all making. We will be able to provide details in the near future.
In the meantime, if you have urgent needs please let us know. While we may not be able to meet all the needs ourselves, we are committed to walking with you to find answers and solutions.
Please feel free to email us at Resources@CrossoverChurch.org
Our Church Staff
To honor the work and safety of our Church Staff, we have asked that they work remotely for the next few weeks. As a result, there will be irregular presence on our campus. Please do not assume that someone is onsite. To reach our staff during this time, it is best to send an email to that individual Staff Member for a direct response to whatever questions that you may have.
We also have team members monitoring our social media inbox and direct messages. We would recommend utilizing those platforms for contact. Our phones and voicemails will be checked sparingly and may have a more delayed response than email and social media.
Our Staff Emails are the Staff Members first name and then @CrossoverChurch.org
As we mentioned on Sunday, we want to continue to meet the obligations of our church AND be able to serve as a resource to our community. Although, Love Our City Week has been postponed, we are going to partner with our community to meet current needs during this new crisis. We need sustained giving to be able to do that.
We recommend that you move any actual mailed contributions to electronic giving. You can give via the Crossover App and/or our website.
You can continue to make your regular contributions here: http://crossoverchurch.org/give
Daily Prayer & Devotional
Starting today, March 17, 2020 through April 30, 2020 (excluding Sundays), we will gather LIVE on Facebook at 12 Noon to pray together and conduct a brief devotional. In the middle of all of uncertainty, we want to center ourselves on the Word of God. Join us DAILY at www.Facebook.com/Crossover813 . Help us spread the Word and be sure as you join in, to comment, like, share, and tag others.
