About Adam Kent

Adam grew up in the Midwest raised in a single parent household by his mother. Spending most of his late childhood and early teens running around in the streets. Where he made all the wrong connections and friends. That ultimately led him to being in and out of jail. and eventually prison all before his 21st birthday. Being released from his last arrest the States Attorney advised Adam to relocate to a different state for his best interest. Much like ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Adam moved in with his aunt and uncle across the country to North Carolina. It was about two weeks into living in North Carolina Adam recognized there needed to be a change and it needed to be something more than jailhouse religion. He took all the drugs he had, flushed them down the toilet, and thought to himself ‘what next’? That very weekend he was invited to church. There at that very church he knew what was next. The life that he had led was worthless and that he made it that way by living his way. In this church in North Carolina Adam gave his life over to Christ.

Adam served at that church in North Carolina at any and all capacity. He was later brought on as the Youth Director. Serving in that position for 2 years, he was then moved into the Associate Pastor position. Through transitions and Adam’s desire to better serve the church at large he pursued a higher education at Southeastern University. Graduating with his BA in Theology and minor in business. Following graduation Adam served as a missionary for a short time in Cairo, Egypt. Returning to the states, he then worked with a faith-based organization that facilitated church group trips to historical Biblical sites around the world.

Adam currently serves as the Discipleship Pastor here at Crossover Church. Looking for ways to get people active in their faith, in the church, and in their community. So go ahead and ask him what your next step is. He will probably say ‘Growth Track’ or he may say ‘join a Growth Group’, or be a part of any one of the amazing things going on here at Crossover.
