Tillia’s journey is a vibrant tapestry of faith, service, and personal growth. Born in California and raised in Miami, she embraces her Caribbean roots with pride—her Bahamian and St. Lucian heritage is woven into her identity. Though her life has always been anchored in the church as a pastor’s kid, it was her time at Crown Christian Center that marked the beginning of her personal journey of getting to know God and studying the Bible. This foundation paved the way for a renewed passion for serving, which was “activated” at Crossover Church, where she has been involved since 2012.  

At Crossover, Tillia has worn many hats: from leading Growth Groups and youth ministry to serving as the Administrative Assistant to the youth pastor, writing for Chosenpieces.com, and participating in the Media, Prayer, and Connection teams. Recently, she joined Crossover’s staff as the Ministry Administrator and Executive Assistant to the pastors, further expanding her role and impact within the church community.  

Matthew 6:33 and Romans 8:28 are her daily anchors, reminding her of God’s sovereignty and goodness, regardless of the challenges life may bring. Tillia is an adventurous spirit with a love for meaningful conversations, learning, and sharing wisdom. Her spiritual journey has been marked by a profound understanding of the distinction between religion and relationship. She acknowledges both the human and holy aspects of faith, recognizing that while human efforts and traditions are important, true connection with God is deeply rooted in a personal relationship with Him. 


For the past 20 years, Tillia has proudly held the title of “Ti-Ti,” treasuring every moment with her dear nieces and nephew. Now, she’s transitioned to an exciting new chapter—her “mom era.” Alongside her husband of nearly 20 years, she’s embracing the joys and delights of raising a lively, loving toddler. Parenting has deepened her appreciation for God’s love as a parent, teaching her to parent with greater love, grace, and mercy, and to trust in His plan rather than focusing solely on her own will for her son's life. This experience has brought a fresh wave of joy and adventure into her life, seamlessly blending her experience as a dedicated Ti-Ti with the profound wonders of motherhood.
